Trusting the Unfolding
Faith is not certainty — it is courage.
The deepest faith is the quiet, unwavering trust that we carry within us.
The resilience to navigate whatever unfolds.
The Freefall
I remember standing at 10,000 feet,
strapped to a parachute,
questioning everything.
Just lean in, the instructor said, calm and unwavering.
My legs locked.
And then, a whisper deep inside: Trust.
I stepped forward into nothingness — weightless for a moment, suspended between sky and ground.
In that freefall, something became clear: faith is not about knowing where you will land.
It is about trusting that you will be caught.
Everyday Acts
It rarely looks like that.
More often faith lives in the quiet, everyday choices.
Forgiving when resentment would be easier.
Believing in someone’s capacity to grow.
Tucking your child in with the words tomorrow will be better even when you are unsure yourself.
Faith becomes wisdom in action when we bridge the gaps with patience and care,
trusting the humanity in one another even when it isn’t immediately visible.
Letting Go
For years I thought control would shield me from failure.
I chased success, sought validation, measured my worth in applause.
But applause fades faster than it arrives, and exhaustion lingers long after.
Faith asks something different — to let go of the illusions we cling to.
To stop placing trust in things that cannot hold it,
and to ask honestly: am I placing my faith in the right things?
The moment I stopped chasing external validation, I reclaimed something far greater.
Letting go is not about giving up.
It is about creating space for what is actually true.
In the Dark
When life darkens, faith becomes a candle — small, steadfast, enough.
It does not shield us from hardship.
It steadies us through it.

Reflect
- How have your experiences shaped your understanding of trust and faith in life’s unfolding?
- When faced with uncertainty, what helps you lean into trust rather than fear?
- In what ways has letting go of control brought unexpected growth into your life?
- How do you recognize when you’re placing faith in the wrong things?
- What does faith look like in your life when outcomes are unclear?
Faith is one of six postures explored in Living With A Lifetime — the first movement of the Living series.
